Oman Sail’s senior professional sailors seek adventure: crossing oceans at breakneck speeds, pushing boundaries and breaking records, whilst battling extreme fatigue and challenging weather conditions. Our athletes travel all over the world participating in international regattas, where they are pitted against the forces of nature for the day - or sometimes weeks - at a time.

The ILCA 7 team represents the pinnacle of single-handed dinghy racing within the Oman Sail program. Comprising some of our most seasoned athletes, this team focuses on peak physical conditioning and tactical mastery. By participating in prestigious local, regional, and international regattas, they continue to benchmark Omani talent against the world's best.

The 49er team operates at the sharp end of high-performance sailing, utilizing the Olympic-class double-handed skiff to push the boundaries of speed and precision as well as requiring perfect synchronization between helm and crew - the advanced stages of the Oman Sail sailing pathway. As Oman Sail’s brightest prospect for Olympic representation, the team’s participation in international competition is strategic, intended to equip the team with the experience and exposure necessary to achieve this goal.

The High Performance Offshore Team takes our maritime expertise into the realm of long-distance endurance racing. Focusing on navigation, seamanship, and sustained performance over days or weeks at sea, this team represents Oman in grueling local, regional, and international regattas.
